Arizona warns that drug cartels are lacing Fentanyl with animal tranquilizers, Narcan could be ineffective in treating overdoses

A report from the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center confirmed that Mexican drug cartels are lacing Fentanyl with the animal tranquilizer Xylazine.

This report is a nightmare for law enforcement and emergency medical services, as Xylazine is not an opioid and therefore Naloxone, or Narcan, may not be enough to save those who have overdosed or been exposed to Fentanyl.

The report explained, "Unlike fentanyl, xylazine is not an opioid and does not respond to the use of naloxone (Narcan). Although it may appear ineffective in someone with both fentanyl and xylazine in their system, law enforcement or emergency personnel should utilize Narcan." However, the report added that patients "may require additional measures to survive."

The report called on EMS personnel to "take all precautions when dealing with illicit substances or overdose victims and utilize personal protective equipment to minimize exposure."

Fentanyl is already deadly and represents a serious danger to Americans. Now it's even more dangerous, as our most effective treatment may no longer work thanks to this new substance being used.

President Joe Biden is allowing these drugs to pour across the border by the ton, and it is criminal to allow this situation to continue. Americans are dying, and the White House is silent as the cartels continue to pump poison into the nation.
