Anti-Trump former administration official says he thinks Trump can beat Biden

A former Trump administration DHS official who came out against him under the moniker "Anonymous" in the New York Times in 2018 now says he thinks the former commander in chief could beat President Joe Biden in 2024.

Miles Taylor told The Guardian Tuesday, "If the election was held today, I think Donald Trump would defeat Joe Biden, and that really concerns me."

Taylor thinks Biden should form a "unity government" with moderate Democrats and Republicans in order to bleed some Republican votes from Trump.

He even suggested making Liz Cheney, a former Republican House member who turned on Trump and was ousted from her seat, the Democrat vice-presidential candidate.

"The single best jump to beat Trump is a unity coalition that Biden would undertake to form," Taylor said. "He talked a lot about bringing Republicans into his administration in the first term. Not a whole lot came in. He needs to bring someone to the top of the ticket to show he would govern for the first time in American history as a unity president with a unity administration."

Taylor's idea is interesting, but it's unlikely any Republicans would vote for Cheney or any other RINO. It's obvious that Democrats are getting desperate, but Biden has messed up so badly that even those tactics may not save him now.
