Amy Chozick Spent Years Covering Clinton. Now, She's Telling Her Own Story

 March 16, 2024

After spending nearly a decade covering Hillary Clinton, (and presumably covering FOR Hillary Clinton) former New York Times White House correspondent Amy Chozick is finally seeing her own story enter public view on a large scale.

When her time covering both of Hillary Clinton's campaigns was over, Chozick decided that she would write a book about the experience.

It proved to be a difficult task, as newspaper writing is VERY different from the type of storytelling done in biographies and novels.

Chozick eventually got there, however, with help from legendary New York Times columnist David Carr.

"You have to go to a magical place where writers live, you have to put newspaper writing out of your head," Carr told her.

His advice must have worked.

Chasing Hillary was published in 2018 and became a smash hit.

Now, it's being loosely adapted into a movie by Warner Bros. Media, which also owns CNN.

Do you think this series will portray Hillary Clinton's campaign accurately, or will it portray her as some sort of heroine?
