Adam Schiff admits Biden might have jeopardized national security by having documents

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) admitted Sunday on ABC's This Week that it's possible President Joe Biden jeopardized national security by having classified documents from his time as vice president.

Asked if it was the right move to appoint a special counsel to investigate Biden's mishandling of the documents, Schiff said, “I do think it’s the right move. The attorney general has to make sure that not only is justice evenly applied, but the appearances of justice are also satisfactory to the public, and here, I don’t think he had any choice but to appoint a special counsel. I think that special counsel will do the proper assessment.”

“I don’t think we can exclude the possibility [that national security was jeopardized] without knowing more of the facts," Schiff added. "We have asked for an assessment in the intelligence community of the Mar-a-Lago documents. I think we ought to get that same assessment to the documents found in the think tank as well as the home of President Biden. I’d like to know what these documents were.”

It is rare to see Schiff advocating fairness and applying the same rules to both sides of the political aisle. He was so voracious in going after former President Donald Trump that he sounded completely partisan and ended up flat-out lying about aspects of testimony in both impeachments.

And while he's not exactly calling for the impeachment of Biden at this point, he's at least giving lip service to the idea that what's good for the good also needs to be good for the gander.

Maybe he just wants to keep his committee assignments or something.
