ABC News admits recent poll showing Trump beating Biden is a 'tough one to spin'

September 26, 2023

There was a time, not long ago, when Democrats and their media allies assumed that former President Donald Trump's 2024 ambitions were dead in the water, given the mountain of legal woes he faces.

But that couldn't be further from the reality of the situation, as all the attacks and legal weapons used against him have only served to boost him even higher, and the polls are starting to panic many.

According to Breitbart, in the wake of an ABC News/Washington Post poll that showed Trump beating President Joe Biden by 10 points in a hypothetical 2024 matchup, even some of the current president's strongest media allies are buckling.

ABC News anchor Martha Raddatz was one of them, and she was forced to admit that the poll would be a "tough one to spin."

"Whatever caveats, whether that is an outlier, that’s a tough one to spin," Raddatz said, referring to the poll's sponsor, WaPo, describing it as an "outlier."

Former DNC chair Donna Brazile joined Raddatz in discussing the poll, and while she agreed on the spin part, she offered several hilarious suggestions for Democrats to turn things around before it's too late.

"It’s a tough one to spin, Martha. But I don’t believe Democrats should be sitting in a panic room," Brazile said.

Brazile continued, "I think they should be out there in the streets like they have been all year long after all Democrats have won in places like New Hampshire, a district that Donald Trump carried."

She attempted to then make a case that Democrats should speak to the American people about the kitchen table issues that anger them, like high energy bills and groceries. The problem is, Democrats can't really do that, as they're the ones who supported "Bidennomics," which has destroyed the country's economy.

"Get out there make your case to the American people. The American people are angry," Brazile said. "In fact, there’s an angry emoji all over the country. They’re angry because of electric bills. Their gas bill has come due. The electric bill has come due, their rent’s due, and it don’t they don’t feel it in their pockets. Get back to the kitchen table and start talking to the American people."

Raddatz countered by saying that some Democrats are pushing that message, but Americans aren't "feeling it."

Yeah, no kidding.

Democrats have dug a deep, fatal political hole with policies that have broken the backs of the working class. They're going to feel that pain in a big way next year at the polls.
