FBI Links Suspect to Charlie Kirk Assassination Scene
In a chilling breakthrough, the FBI has confirmed DNA evidence directly linking 22-year-old Tyler Robinson to the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
Breitbart reported that the announcement, made on Monday morning, ties Robinson to multiple items at the crime scene, including the suspected murder weapon, solidifying his status as the primary suspect in last Wednesday’s tragic shooting at Utah Valley University.
The investigation began after Charlie Kirk was fatally shot last Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
DNA Evidence Uncovered at Sniper's Hideout
Investigators identified a rooftop at the university as the sniper’s position, where they recovered critical evidence pointing to Robinson.
Among the items found was a screwdriver, which tested positive for Robinson’s DNA, indicating his presence at the location.
Additionally, a towel used to conceal the murder weapon was discovered discarded in nearby woods, also bearing Robinson’s DNA.
Murder Weapon Analysis Still in Progress
Perhaps most damning, DNA was also detected on a .30 caliber bolt-action rifle with a scope, believed to be the firearm used in the shooting.
While this DNA is still under analysis to confirm a match with Robinson, the FBI remains confident in the mounting evidence.
The rifle’s discovery at the scene further ties the physical evidence to the tragic event that unfolded last week.
Destroyed Note Reveals Suspect's Intent
Beyond physical evidence, investigators uncovered a note written by Robinson, which expressed his intent to target Charlie Kirk.
In the note, Robinson reportedly stated he had a chance to “take out” Kirk and planned to act on it.
Although the note was destroyed, FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed its contents through forensic analysis and intensive interviews with related parties.
FBI Director Shares Investigation Details
Patel shared these developments during an appearance on Fox & Friends on Monday morning, shedding light on the investigation’s progress.
He emphasized the FBI’s thorough approach, stating, "We have since learned the note – even though it was destroyed – we have found forensic evidence of the note and we have confirmed what the note said because of our aggressive interview posture at the FBI."
Patel’s comments underscored the agency’s determination to build a solid case despite challenges in the investigation.
Suspect Remains Uncooperative with Authorities
Despite the overwhelming evidence, Robinson has refused to cooperate with investigators, according to Patel.
This lack of cooperation has not deterred the FBI, which continues to piece together the circumstances surrounding Kirk’s assassination.
The agency remains focused on ensuring justice for the victim and his family as the case moves forward.
