Trump investigates Biden administration's facilitation of youth smuggling
Donald Trump promised to get our porous southern border under control once he began his second term in the White House, and it appears he's doing just that.
One of the first steps has been identifying exactly what the problem was that allowed so many illegal immigrants, drugs, and children to be smuggled over the border during the last four years. Trump thinks he's found the answer:
It's clear that Biden had zero interest in actually sealing our southern border. That much we knew from the second he appointed Kamala Harris as his border czar.
Trump's administration is now investigating the dangerous lack of vetting of migrant children that left thousands of them vulnerable to sex trafficking and exploitation.
"It was all about getting them out of custody as quickly as possible from the time the Border Patrol encountered them, to the time ORR found sponsorship," a source in the Trump administration said. "When they were putting expediency over safety, that’s what created this problem."
"In the last administration, they weren’t even fingerprinting sponsors. We didn’t know who those people were that we were releasing kids to," another source close to Trump said.
Trump just wants to make sure everyone is kept safe, something Biden's administration wasn't really willing to do.
