Mitch McConnell suffers fall while leaving GOP lunch
Senator Mitch McConnell, a Republican from Kentucky, suffered an apparent fall as he was leaving a GOP lunch on December 10.
Reports indicate that McConnell was taken into his office after the fall, where a medical staffer attended to him with a wheelchair.
Despite the scary scene, incoming Senate Republican Leader John Thune, a Republican from South Dakota, said that Mitch McConnell was "fine."

Senator John Barrasso, a Republican from Wyoming, sid that McConnell "fell as he was leaving the GOP lunch in a room just outside the Senate floor. He had a small scratch on his face that bled but was '100%' with it mentally. The medical team is ensuring that the injuries aren’t more serious."
Mitch McConnell's team put out a statement after the incident:
"Leader McConnell tripped following lunch," the statement read. "He sustained a minor cut to the face and sprained his wrist. He has been cleared to resume his schedule."
Agree with McConnell's politics or not, we want America's leaders to be fit and healthy! Democracy wouldn't exist if we only showed compassion to people we agree with, so please keep Senator McConnell in your prayers.
