Trump says he thinks Pete Hegseth has path to confirmation
For those who have been expecting to see a Pete Hegseth REPLACEMENT, Donald Trump is here to squash those rumors.
Despite the resurfaced allegations of sexual assault against Hegseth, Donald Trump thinks that Pete Hegseth will still be confirmed to run the Pentagon.
"It looks like Pete is doing well now," Trump recently told NBC's Kristen Welker.
"I mean, people were a little bit concerned. He’s a young guy, with a tremendous track record actually. He went to Princeton and went to Harvard. He was a good student at both. But he loves the military and I think people are starting to see it so we’ll be working on his nomination along with a lot of others," Trump continued.
Do you agree with Trump that Hegseth is going to be confirmed?
Or will the allegations of excessive drinking and abuse of women ruin the chances of Trump's pick for United States secretary of Defense?
