Nathan Wade billed multiple White House meetings during Georgia Trump probe

During a probe by the House Judiciary Committee, former Georgia prosecutor Nathan Wade admitted to multiple White House meetings during his probe of former President Donald Trump.

A transcript of the four-hour interview conducted last week showed that Wade met with Biden administration officials at least twice during the probe.

Wade was asked about invoices referring to the meetings and acknowledged they did take place, although he didn't say whether they were in person or virtual or what was discussed. He seemed reluctant to discuss the meetings and tried to avoid the admission.

Investigators asked Wade about an invoice line indicating "travel to Athens; conf with White House counsel, May 23rd, 2022: "So if it says conf with White House counsel, that would mean there was a conf with White House counsel?"

Wade challenged, "If I billed for a conf with White House counsel, this document doesn’t say that that conf with White House counsel happened in Athens. That’s not what that says."

The investigators pressed Wade about whether the reference to White House counsel meant he billed for a conference with such an official, and Wade said, "Yes."

Another invoice indicated the reading of a transcript for eight hours, which Wade also acknowledged.

He said he didn't recall who participated in the meetings, whether he traveled there, or who scheduled them.
