VP Harris finally adds policy sections to her website, attacks Trump in some of them

 September 10, 2024

It has been roughly 50 days since President Joe Biden was ousted from the 2024 election and seemingly forgotten as he holds the White House until January.

In that time, Vice President Kamala Harris was crowned as the Democratic Party's presidential nominee, and it was not until this week that she actually added a page to her website explaining some of her policy positions.

According to Fox News, the vice president added several policy-related sections to her website. Not surprisingly, many of them were dedicated to attacking Trump.

That's what Democrats typically have to run on since they have nothing in the way of accomplishments in the past four years.

Fox News noted:

Before the new addition, Harris' campaign website had pages to buy merchandise, donate and get to know the candidate's background, but was devoid of any policy plans for weeks even after she formally accepted the nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago 17 days ago.

The new sections on the website include, "Build an Opportunity Economy and Lower Costs for Families," "Safeguard Our Fundamental Freedoms," "Ensure Safety and Justice For All," and "Keep America Safe, Secure, and Prosperous."

Much of the new policy additions sound extremely similar to the policies pushed by Biden, though many of them never came to fruition.

Some even accused Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, of essentially copying and pasting Biden's policies into her own site.

On the subject of the Child Tax Credit, Harris' website states, "Under her plan, the tax rate on long-term capital gains for those earning a million dollars a year or more will be 28 percent, because when the government encourages investment, it leads to broad-based economic growth and creates jobs, which makes our economy stronger."

Many of the policy sections include attacks on the former president, comparing his policies, which were undoubtedly better, to her own idea.

Many have also pointed out the irony of Harris claiming she will fix what's broken right now, when she's already had nearly four years to do that.

Karoline Leavitt, Trump Campaign National Press Secretary, slammed the Harris campaign for the new additions to her website.

"Kamala Harris added a late-night, half-a--, wish list of policies to her website to solve the problems SHE helped create over the past four years," Leavitt wrote.

She added, "If Kamala really wanted to lower costs and secure the border -- why did she cast the tie-breaking vote to cause inflation and support the war on our energy industry, and why is she allowing an invasion of illegal immigrants through our southern border as we speak?"
