Key judicial, congressional seats up for grabs in New York

 August 3, 2024

New York State is typically thought of as solidly entrenched in liberal territory.

It's a result of New York City's population speaking for the whole state, but it's been that way for a while.

New York State and New York City typically haven't been a hotbed of conservative politics in recent years.

Donald Trump is working hard to change that narrative, though.

Trump's origins in New York, in addition to his courtroom fights in the state, and his campaign in general have given Republicans in New York hope that conservatives might be able to take a few spots back this fall in the state's races for congressional and court seats.

The most recent congressional election was a big deal in New York State for Republicans, and they're hoping to keep the momentum up.

Last congressional election, Republicans were able to flip four districts.

Let's hope that Trump-induced momentum is able to continue in both the state's courts and in Congress.
