Kamala Harris received lavish gifts, employment from former paramour, Willie Brown

Kamala Harris benefitted greatly from a highly publicized affair she had with the then-mayor of San Francisco, Willie Brown.

However, the extent to which she was showered with gifts was never really made public until Brown started talking once Kamala had been appointed queen of the Democratic Party.

Harris was 29 years old when she began her relationship with a 60-year-old Brown.

Kamala was in the relationship for much more than love though.

Throughout the course of their relationship, Brown apparently showered Harris with lavish gifts such as a BMW.

The relationship was never officially confirmed by Brown until he opened up in 2019.

"Yes, we dated," Brown said.

Even beyond physical gifts, Brown helped Kamala by appointing her to positions she probably wouldn't have gotten if she had not been sleeping with a powerful politician.

Brown has taken credit multiple times for getting Kamala out of local politics and into the state and national spotlight.

"Yes, I may have influenced her career by appointing her to two state commissions when I was Assembly speaker. And I certainly helped with her first race for district attorney in San Francisco," Brown acknowledged.
