The White House press briefing on June 18 was momentarily interrupted by a medical emergency.

Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stopped a reporter in the middle of his question when she heard somebody yell, "We have an emergency!"

"Hold on, did somebody pass out?" Jean-Pierre reportedly asked White House medical staff as she hopped down from the podium.

According to Fox News, "White House medical staff attended to the individual, who appeared to have passed out due to the heat."

A few minutes later, Jean-Pierre returned to the podium and continued.

"Sorry about that. Hopefully she's okay," Jean-Pierre said.

A reporter then commented about the heat in the room, to which Jean-Pierre replied, "You are correct. It is hot in here."

Temperatures on Washington, D.C., on the day of the incident were 92 degrees Fahrenheit.

Excessive heat warnings have recently been issued all over America.

The southwest could reach 115 degrees in the coming days, with some cities in the east like Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Fort Wayne, as well as Washington, D.C., preparing for excessive heat as well.
