After getting a tip that migrants were hiding in El Paso, Texas' dangerous system of storm drains, Border Patrol agents arrested 69 such individuals from inside the drains on Wednesday.

Migrants from Guatemala, Mexico, Bolivia, Honduras, and El Salvador were among those detained at two different drains.

The migrants entered through manhole covers in the area.

They were medically evaluated and then processed for removal under Title 8.

"The storm drain system is dangerous and poses serious risks to not only the migrants but to our Border Patrol agents and law enforcement partners,” El Paso Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Anthony Scott Good said.

“Due to these risks, the El Paso Sector will deliver serious consequences to individuals that exploit the El Paso Storm drain system," he added.
